What does it cost?
Price depends on a number of factors such as stencil detail, stencil size and the type of file you send to us. This is why we prefer to see your stencil designs before we give you a specific price. Custom stencil patterns start at $35.00 and duplicate stencils can be cut for as little as a few dollars.
To get the most accurate price, fill out our quote request form or email us at mail@stencilsonline.com. Our expert stencil programmers will review your request and get back to quickly, usually within 20 minutes during working hours.
How long does it take?
Once we have your all of your ordering information including payment, shipping, and your graphic file, we will start to program your stencil. It is typical to receive a proof the same day or the next day, but this is not guaranteed. More complex stencil patterns may take more time to program. You will be asked to approve the proof that we provide to you. If you would like to see changes to your stencil pattern, we will make the changes at no charge and provide you with another proof. When we receive your approval, we will start to laser cut your stencil template order. This typically takes 1-2 days to complete, but this is not guaranteed. More complex stencil designs may take additional time to laser cut. When your stencil order is complete, we will immediately ship it to you using the method you have specified when you placed your order. The entire process from start to finish typically takes 2 – 4 days. Please keep in mind that these time frames are estimates only and in no way a guarantee. If you need your stencil pattern order to arrive by a specific date, please let us know and we will do what ever we can do accommodate your request. I need my custom stencil immediately. Can my order be expedited?
We understand that some stencil design projects are time sensitive. In many cases we have been able to ship an order the same day we receive it. If you have an immediate need for your custom stencil patterns order, please contact us! Do you need my payment information before I see a proof?
Creating a custom stencil file and generating a proof is the most time consuming part of what we do. We will charge your credit card for your full order when we start the programming process. If for any reason you decide to cancel your order after we have started programming your stencil design, you will be charged for the time we spent programming your order. We would be happy to discuss this policy with you further if you have any additional questions. What type of file can you work with?
We can work with many file types for creating custom stencil patterns. When you submit a request for a custom stencil pattern's price, we may ask you to provide a different file if you are able to. We will let you know immediately if we can not work with a particular customer file.

What if I don’t like the proof that Stencils Online provides?
When you receive your proof we encourage you to review it very carefully and let us know if you have any questions or if you would like to see any changes. Our policy is to make changes to your proof as many times as necessary until you are satisfied. Can I return a custom stencil order?
We do not offer refunds on custom stencil design orders. Our custom stencils are made specific for each customer and can not be sold to anyone else. If you have any questions or doubt about if a custom stencil design will work for you, please let us know before you place your order. What if there is a mistake with my order?
If we make a mistake to your order we will absolutely correct our mistake and ship a new order to you ASAP! If we deem that Stencils Online is not at fault for a mistake then we will do anything we can do make sure the correction is made as quickly and as inexpensively as possible. You will find that we are a very fair and reasonable company and our customer satisfaction rating is near perfect. What if I don’t have a graphic?
It is very difficult to create a custom graphic stencil without a source to work from. If you have an idea for a custom graphic stencil but do not have a graphic for us to work from, please let us know. We have a small database of artwork we may be able to work from. You may be able to find a graphic online that we can work from. Here is a list of great places to look:

It is important to keep in mind that any image you submit to us may be protected by copyright. Please make sure you have authority to use any graphic that will be created into a stencil. What size stencils can be laser cut?
The detail of our laser cut stencil designs are amazing! We can cut text and graphics as small as 1/8”. The largest single template we can laser cut is 48” x 96”. Often we can create even larger stencil designs by using multiple templates. Will you save my artwork for future orders?
Stencils Online will save our customers files on our secure server for future orders. We are up to date with the most advanced data protection to make sure your graphic files and any other ordering information is safe and secure. We can, upon your request, delete any of your information from our server permanently. Will you share my artwork with anyone?
No, Never! Confidentiality is taken very seriously at Stencils Online and we have never compromised any of our customer’s artwork or ideas. If you have any questions about this please contact Stencils Online and ask to speak to the owner. Additionally, we have a confidentially agreement that we can send to you at any time during the ordering process.
What will the stencils be cut on?
Our lasers can cut sharp and exact detail on many mediums such as plastic films, rigid plastics, paper, cardboard, and wood. We do not cut any metal stencils. We stock several plastic materials for different stencil applications but by far the most frequently used material is polyester film (sometimes referred to as Mylar).
